Oklahoma Earthquakes
Student Project - Spring 2019
Adobe Illustrator, JS Processing, Acrylic, Paint, Metal
This piece gives a unique look at the last 10 years of Oklahoma earthquakes. Each slide maps the approximate size and location of every earthquake that happened in one year, beginning with 2010 and ending with 2018. There are two sheets that are not connected to the piece, one showing the major fault lines within the state and the other showing the approximate location of every wastewater disposal well in the state. The viewer is able to use all of these different pieces to form their own conclusion to Oklahoma’s biggest mystery: What is causing these earthquakes?
To accompany this piece, I made an informational poster highlighting the data featured in the physical display.
