On the Road Cover Redesign

BRAINSTORM

After being assigned Jack Kerouc’s On the Road for this project, I began reading up on the story. The obvious themes that emerged were

TRAVEL, EXPLORATION, + CONNECTION.

I was immediately drawn to maps and thought they would be the perfect imagery to convey those themes and set the tone for my design. Before I dug too deep into the map concept, I wanted to explore other options in case I stumbled upon something better in my experimentation.
