McAfee
UX/Experience Design & Web Design
As Senior Designer on the McAfee website refresh, I led the design and execution of a multi-page web experience that reintroduced the brand’s evolved identity to a global audience. The project focused on helping McAfee move beyond its legacy as an antivirus provider and reposition itself as a modern, trusted partner in personal and family online protection.
Over the course of the project, I led the design and oversaw development for more than seven key web pages, each carefully crafted to reflect the new brand strategy centered around clarity, empowerment, and real-life digital safety. I worked closely with the internal team and client stakeholders to ensure the design struck a balance between trustworthiness and approachability, integrating human-centered photography, modular content structures, and human-first messaging.
I also managed and directed a team of freelancers across design and UX/UI, ensuring alignment with both the brand vision and functional goals of the site. From early wireframes and visual direction to prototyping and final implementation, I played a hands-on role in guiding the creative process.
In addition to design and team management, I oversaw QA efforts—reviewing builds across multiple breakpoints and devices to ensure pixel-perfect execution, accessibility compliance, and a smooth user experience.
The refreshed experience successfully aligned with McAfee’s new brand ethos of “protection that’s personal.” As a result of the relaunch, McAfee saw a 21% lift in revenue and a 40% increase in conversion rate. The refreshed experience helped reposition McAfee as a lifestyle brand grounded in real-world needs, supporting their shift toward emotional storytelling and trust-driven messaging. Our collaborative effort delivered a scalable, modern digital presence that could evolve with the brand and its growing suite of personal protection offerings.
